Boring week. Worked long hours, won some huge pots and ultimately won nothing. Just didnt book enough wins and wait till the next day. Particularly annoying is when i run good and win like 2-3k in 30 mins, i feel compelled to stay for marathon sessions when eventually some monkey (normally tevje) does something which tilts me and i spew a load of money back. sigh. Moving into my house tomorrow, 90% of the stuff has been moved, the amazing oak flooring is down and i cant wait to get in to be honest, its gonna be phenomenal.

Went today to put the deposit down on my border terrier, she is an absolute beauty! only 3 weeks old and about 6 inches long, suzanne took 1 look at her and it was good game £500. To be honest i was equally smitten, we are calling her Pippa and getting here in 4 weeks time, ill write a long post then, suffice to say we saw her mum, dad and grandfather who are all stunning. The breeder has bred them slightly smaller (the line was formed orignally many years ago for hunting badgers in Scotland) and the grandfather in particular was incredibly handsome with a long bushy beard. They have amazing energy although they do have a slightly disturbing tendency to fight viciously with each other (like proper go at it and kill each other) so we will have to be very mindful obviously. The responsibility is kinda unnerving, god knows what its like to have a kid. I cant wait to take her out to be honest, do a bit of ratting with her and maybe a bit of long-netting if the rabbit population on our local shoot stays too bouyant.

Back on to poker, so a shit week in all, probably not playing too good over too many tables and also not abusing tag's pain thresholds enough, like if im gonna cr bluff the turn on a scary board and think that most of the time he cant call a river shove, dont bottle the fucking river. Also, a lot of work/life stuff has impacted on my focus, which needs to be good because without fail the games are getting tougher.

Anyway, here is one of the best hands i played all week, purely because it was a slightly complex puzzle, given i knew i was probably beating the shorty but that twojacks likely had tp with a better kicker or an overpair. Its not that interesting tbh, but at the time i was like wow i wonder if that did just happen and i got a hybrid bet to work perfectly in a multiway pot..... I decided against flatting the shorty on the turn because that would probably end up getting damascus commited by the river, so elected to bluff one guy with a superstrong line and valuebet/protect against another. Fun hand anyways. In reality twojacks probably had air anyways, but i tricked myself into being convinced id made him fold QQ, purely for ego.

Lol. This game is pretty funny at times. Still running pretty hot, despite tilting a little yesterday night versus Tevje the mother of all luckboxes i had a cracking session tonight. Really getting good at targeting fish/weak regs and getting in their heads, which u most def cant do on more than 4 tables. Moving in next WEDNESDAY WIIIIII and cant wait, although there is a pub either end of my road, which might cutdown on work ethic :P

Ok, gonna have a brag now. Just had my first ever massive (for me) week. After 15k hands of 1k and 500nl plus a donkament touch for 4k iv shipped $24k. I ran at 24bb/100 which is obviously completely unsustainable but fuckit ill just keep giving it my best every session. Really pleased with myself and feel like this is the turning point from msnl grinder to understanding and progressing to highstakes. Would like to say a big thankyou to Adam my running partner online and my mentor Manuel who has been incredibly supportive when times are bad aswell as good. This game can be a huge rollercoaster at times and im hopeful that this will be the start of things to come.

Bink. Out the hole. Warning, still slightly drunk so excuse this post if its loco. Combination of stopping playing like a complete monkey, toning down my squeezing, oop 3bets and triple barreling/ FPS against fish has had a sweet effect. My end of year graph gonna look so funny, but im gonna try and grind out $150k this year. Been fking about a little in tournaments lately but cant seem to seal anything, getting 2nd after 2nd after 2nd. Which is odd as i play a lot of HU and thought i was decent, perhaps will play the tougher regs at a lower stake hu to learn/improve.

Moving into the house in 2 weeks now, got some fantastic invites made by basically my brother in law and im so excited, its gonna be awesome. Not been up to much lately although im starting to like golf which is odd. Not sure if im allowed to stick a clubsock on an air rifle but nobody seemed to mind. Been entertained most evenings lately by the WIRE, which is a fantastic show, definitely the best series iv seen come out the states for a long time, but maybe thats because im still insanely immature and like guns, drugs, sex and politics. Not in that order.

Have missed these ftops for the most part but its pretty amazing that players from the uk have won 2 events that i know of, Moorman and Kellet. With akenhead in Nov 9 i think the uk really is back on the poker map which is brilliant. Cracking thread on two plus two here
which had me in fits and just shows that when doubting old Englands many undesirable attributes, at least we aint French.

WSOPE coming up and im probably gonna play the £1000 and £2.5k events, it will be like my vegas plus a chance to meet the scandie fish iv been toying with. Would love to play the main and get setup for life (kunku) with a bink but the money is too big and despite the fact im certain i could sell my action im gonna try 1 more satellite then giveup. Think im 6k in the hole in wsop/e qualification entries which is dumb.

Im gonna have to stop talking poker on here shortly as some of the regs are reading this but hopefully getting some $ onto some of the bigger sites in the near future will mean im not tooooo exploitable.

This hand was sexy. Interestingly both touten and slep were v solid 200nl players about a year ago and now crush higher. Slep particularly is an incredibly solid player, who is tough to play when hes on the ball. Touten is a huge spewbox (snap 5b jams over my cold 4balls with like AQ/99+) but occasionally can play amazing. I tilted him earlier in the week which was quite funny (esp as im not tilting anymore) and this hand obv has a lot of history behind it. This was beautiful.

Very few regs are causing me massive problems, Tevje still runs like a dream v me and has owned me so hard of late, but in general i think hes utterly dreadful and a big money pot. Sewerrat seems to try to fuck with me an awful lot, but goes after me in bad spots which makes life easier. If he adjusted well he could rape the game. The rest are a combination of weaktight 2+2 style players who are generally overtly concerned with pot control, or 18/14 nits. some of the nits are starting to play poker of late, which is leading to ridic spew coz they aint comfortable with marginals. Other than that i did play with fullflush today (pretty sure hes Nikosthepro on betfair) and he check-folded to my cbet. Yeer, u heard right, im better than the flushman. Cya kids, gl in whatever you whatever you want out of life.

On the plus side, and to cheer me up, the house is coming on a treat. Not entirely sure how we are going to pay people but will try and cross that hurdle when they come knocking with a crowbar. I kinda regret making such a massive commitment as my 1st house, but suzanne has reminded me that a) its gonna be the shizzles, and b) it will be our home for a long time hopefully. She's been pretty awesome the last few weeks, hats off to my amazing gf.

Poker post.

I swear to god the last two weeks have been so brutal it hurts. I never really listen to people when they talk about massive downswings and running bad etc, but good god. I am in the utter shit at the moment. I have failed to win a single race/flip or hold @ 500nl in about 2 weeks. I have logged a total of 3 winning days in that entire period. Im having enormous confidence issues, tilting like a mother fucker and generally hating life. The problem is im not really doing anything wrong. I mean sure iv probably tilted off like 5-8 buyins with spew. But the rest has just been a fucking joke. This one idiot on betfair (i wont out him) plays the most retarded stlye i ever fucking saw and seems to get the lot daily. His fold to 3b% is 28%. He 3b jams 100bb over a standard open b v b w AJo. Mind i guess his play is fairly standard when either flops a straight every other hand or else binks whatever ridiculous card he needs to get there. It makes me cringe to see him getting the absolute lot when right now i NEED the money pretty badly. Im not one of these poker guys thats had some sick mtt results to set them up financially, i dont make the tens of thousands every other poker player seems to make it quite frankly i feel sick. Last week i was close to crying myself to sleep. I know its just variance bla bla bla but right now i cant see the fucking wood for the trees, doubt every single decision i make and tilt like a baboon when some idiot luckbox from sweden decides to checkraise allin in a 3b pot w 99 on 1024cc for 250bb v 444 and get there. seriously. Please dear god i dont want a 10bb/100 winrate but let me regress to the mean.
